This new role has been created to strengthen protect and elevate our visual identity across the business. From internal communications to large-scale brand assets this person will play a key role in ensuring everything we create is bold consistent and unmistakably BaxterStorey.
We need someone who is proactive and ready to hit the ground running roll up their sleeves and deliver vibrant high-quality design solutions that make an impact. Youll work closely with our Head of Creative to challenge the beige bland and boring and help us continue to lead the way as a leading Hospitality brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In a nutshell we need a Brand Graphic Designer with excellent creative instincts and strong technical ability who is ready to roll up their sleeves and support our Head of Creative in delivering bold supercharged designs across BaxterStorey. This new role has been introduced to strengthen and protect our brand identity ensuring every visual touchpoint from presentations to menus reports to communications is consistent vibrant and unmistakably us.
Day-to-day duties include thinking outside of the bread bin when it comes to design. Someone whos an Adobe guru (were talking AI PSD IDD AF) but not afraid of working with most designers Achilles heel PowerPoint! You will take ownership of briefs from concept through to final delivery producing high-quality designs across digital print and animation. Working closely with senior stakeholders and the wider creative team youll act as a brand guardian ensuring our guidelines are upheld while continuously finding new ways to elevate what we do and how we do it.

Working for the Head of Creative the Brand Graphic Designer will:
Design and artwork a wide range of assets across both digital and printed formats ranging from brochures presentations menus signage banners reports internal communications event materials and much more
Act as a brand guardian ensuring all outputs are aligned to BaxterStoreys brand guidelines
Take ownership of creative briefs from initial concept through to final execution ensuring work is delivered on time and to the highest brand standards
Drive continuous improvement across our creative work using initiative and independent thinking to develop new ideas and enhance what we do and does not just wait for direction
Support the ongoing development and refinement of our brands
Support and develop our brand accessibility guidelines ensuring legibility and inclusive design principles are applied to all touchpoints
Work closely with senior stakeholders across Communications People and Operations to translate business needs into clear visual solutions
Present creative ideas confidently and professionally
Support and mentor team members to ensure consistency and quality of output with the BaxterStorey brand
Contribute to annually updated documents across support teams including learning materials recruitment adverts and policy documents and templates
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to support long-term projects and brand initiatives
Support with important internal events such as Awards Graduations annual conferences and more
Manage multiple projects simultaneously prioritising effectively and responding to changing business needs
Work across multiple brand identities at the same time maintaining clarity and consistency
Improve and maintain organised file structures
Work on and develop our internal platforms and communications such SharePoint Bynder emails and newsletters
Stay up to date with design trends tools and emerging technologies relevant to the F&B and hospitality sector
Create engaging animated and motion assets where required
Support and develop our websites and external brand presence
Confidently reviews challenges and supports the improvement of any work that doesnt meet brand expectations
Help streamline workflows and improve creative processes
Occasional support with photoshoots
Qualifications :
- University qualified in Graphic Design or similar
- Excellent designer with 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Illustrator Photoshop After Effects preferred)
- Strong experience working within established brand guidelines
- Experience working on large-format and multi-page documents
- 3 years of experience supporting and developing brand identities
- Good knowledge of accessibility principles in design
- Experience working with portals such as SharePoint and Bynder beneficial
- Copywriting and proofreading skills highly desirable
- Great knowledge of current design trends and tools
- Excellent understanding of design principles including typography layout and hierarchy all while maintaining accessibility standards and principles
- Great knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
- Experience working on large-format documents and multi-page documents and brochures
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to comfortably communicate and present effective ideas and designs to stakeholders
