Spanning more than 6500 square miles of Southern Oregons high desert forests and agricultural lands Klamath County School District (KCSD) serves nearly 7000 students across a network of deeply rooted Klamath County schools are central to community life places where generations gather through learning athletics the arts and shared traditions. Students are known and supported and school events from Friday night lights to CTE showcases bring families and neighbors together. KCSD is seeking its next Superintendent to partner with the community in shaping the future of its schools.
KCSD is located within a county experiencing positive momentum and collaboration. With multiple post-secondary institutions and dual-credit opportunities there is a shared commitment to building a K12 environment that prepares students for both local careers and broader post-secondary options. Success in this role will come not from importing solutions but from listening recognizing what is already working and bringing strong instructional leadership to strengthen teaching and learning across the district.
The ideal candidate will be a visible relationship-centered leader who brings humility curiosity and sound judgment to complex work strengthening instruction and expanding meaningful pathways for every student. Working across Klamath Countys communities the Superintendent will help focus the district around shared priorities and continue earning the pride embodied in #ProudToBeKCSD.
