Discover Impactful Work: As an Associate Scientist we are seeking a motivated and dedicated protein purification scientist to support downstream process development and optimization primarily for novel therapeutic monoclonal antibody and bispecific products throughout all stages of the clinical lifecycle.

Essential Functions of the Job(Key responsibilities):

  • Perform or aid in purificationprocessdevelopment optimization and scale-up manufacturing
  • Conduct protein purification to support formulation teams material needs and cell culture development
  • Perform routine analyses of in-process samples using relevant product purity and process impurity analytical tools
  • Prepare buffers and solutions needed for laboratory work
  • Present work summary in a weekly group meeting
  • Write routine electronic laboratory notebook entries
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS with 1-2 years of experience in biochemistry bioengineering biology chemistry or related field preferably with some relevant industry experience
  • Basic knowledge in protein chemistry and bioprocessing
  • Basic knowledge and preferably hands-on experiences in various types of column/membrane chromatography (affinity size exclusion ion exchanges multi-mode) and filtration technology
  • Experience in protein analysis such as HPLC ELISA pH/Conductivity/A280 Concentration testing etc. is preferred
  • Hands-on experience or basic knowledge of Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration experimentation and TFF systems is preferred
  • Inventory management skills preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized collaborativeindependent meticulous

In somecasesan equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
