What is the compensation

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (depending upon skill level and experience). Payment will be direct deposit.

What will I do

• Drag rake and chalk dirt infields for youth baseball and softball programs.

• Perform a variety of sports field maintenance tasks including Mowing edging topdressing aerating fertilizing and irrigation repair.

• Assist in cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.

• Assist with running weekend tournaments as needed.

• Clean restrooms and pick up debris.

• Operate trucks four wheelers or small tractors.

• Assist in field layout and painting.

• Assist other crew members as needed and perform other related work as required.

What do I need to apply

• Sufficient knowledge training and/or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the job.

• Valid lawful driver license.

What is the schedule

Schedule varies Monday through Sunday and will be determined by supervisor. Typically 40 hours a week with most work on Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to work some weekends with tournaments special events or preventative maintenance as directed. Duration of positions is approximately March 1 through November 1 2026.

What are the physical/environmental factors

This work requires strenuous physical labor; walking; bending; reaching; lifting (up to 70 lbs.); and exposure to adverse weather conditions and some pesticides. Applicants must have sufficient physical strength and agility to perform the work.

What is the selection process

This is an open file posting. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted for any positions available at that time. They will remain on file for a minimum of 60 days. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.

If selected for hire candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
