This role provides Centralized Cardiac Monitoring support for patients across the hospital system from a
corporate office setting without direct patient interaction. The technician is responsible for interpreting
cardiac rhythms identifying abnormalities and communicating findings to appropriate clinical personnel.
Job Responsibilities
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms for multiple patients across the health system using remote
telemetry systems.
Accurately interpret and document rhythm changes and arrhythmias.
Promptly report abnormal findings to licensed clinical staff according to established protocols.
Maintain accurate and timely records of monitoring data.
Utilize advanced monitoring software and systems with a high degree of technical proficiency.
Communicate effectively with clinical teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Complete assigned goals and tasks as directed.
Education:
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a cardiac monitoring or EKG technician program.
Training Description:
Minimum Required Preferred/Desired:
On-the-job training in rhythm interpretation and monitoring systems.
Formal training in cardiac monitoring.
Special Skills Description:
Minimum Required Preferred/Desired:
Strong rhythm interpretation skills.
High level of computer literacy.
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Familiarity with hospital telemetry systems and electronic health records.
Licensure;

BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
Certification in cardiac monitoring or EKG interpretation
