Summary: The Senior Software Engineer designs develops writes modifies and implements software solutions consisting of applications and/or components. Maintains accurate documentation of solutions provided.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and/or provide software solutions to the business in accordance with established specifications and considerate of IT priorities follow a process similar to the following;
  • Participate in requirements gathering
  • Analyze technical requirements and help determine feasibility
  • Work with Business Analysts Project managers Stakeholders and other team members to design and recommend solutions
  • Follow work instructions procedures and established standards in coding and delivering the identified solution on time and on budget
  • Document and test the delivered solution and assist with end user training as required
  • Maintain the delivered solution per business requirements

• Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
• Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
• Provide hardware and/or software assistance to the Operations as needed
• Be available outside of normal working hours when required to troubleshoot and update mission critical applications
• Create technical specifications and test plans
• Create new and extend existing operational documentation
• Consult closely with team lead and business management related to projects milestones & tasks
• Consult colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of software systems

EDUCATION:

Preferred undergraduate degree in computer science information systems or related field and/or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

A Minimum of 5 years related experience developing software in a business production environment.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE and/or ABILITIES:

Successful candidates will likely have at least 5 years of experience in a professional capacity with the following technologies:

• • Power Apps Canvas Apps Model-Driven Apps and Power Automate
  • SQL Server and/or DB2 Databases
  • XML JSON
  • JavaScript
  • CSS Bootstrap REACT

Though not required as a primary discipline preference will be given to candidates with professional experience with the following technologies:

• • Azure DevOps
  • Agile Development / Agile Project Management
  • Java Web Services
• Ability to work through complex issues and identify required interventions.
• General understanding of business strategies.
• Proven ability for effective problem analysis and problem resolution at both strategic and functional level.
• Must have leadership ability excellent interpersonal skills consulting skills and the proven ability to develop relationships and influence all levels within the organization and external to the organization with developers and business users.
• Demonstrated presentation oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
