Job Summary

Location: Waco TX 76712

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift
Hours: 32 Hours per Week (Guaranteed)
Pay Rate:
Traveler: $55/hour
Local: $45/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract assignment in a Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation setting. The OT will provide comprehensive therapeutic services in accordance with facility policies Medicare guidelines private insurance requirements and professional therapy standards.
This role requires strong clinical judgment collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and complete documentation for assigned caseload
Report billing information accurately to therapy leadership
Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions
Assess and interpret treatment outcomes
Perform screens evaluations and therapy services in compliance with regulatory standards
Supervise therapy assistants and support personnel as appropriate
Participate in interdisciplinary care meetings
Educate patients families and staff regarding therapy goals and care plans
Support community education and outreach initiatives
Attend in-services and departmental meetings
Perform additional duties as assigned
Experience Requirements
12 years of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
Education
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy (Required)
Certifications & Licensure
Certification consistent with American Occupational Therapy professional standards (Required)
Active Texas Occupational Therapist License (Required)
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance drug screening and background check
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift turn move position and transport patients safely
Ability to perform minimal assist transfers (up to 50 pounds)
Must perform all duties without posing risk to self staff caregivers or patients
