Job Summary
Were looking for a Senior Engineer with strong expertise in solid waste management landfill barrier systems geotechnical design and sustainable civil infrastructure. If you thrive in a specialist environment and want to influence major waste and environmental projects this role is for you.
Job Description:
- Lead designs for landfill barriers capping leachate and gas systems
- Deliver waste infrastructure designs for RTSs MRFs and gas systems
- Ensure full compliance with SA environmental regulations and best practice
- Support feasibility planning risk assessment and technical reviews
- Drive technical quality team development and innovation
- Collaborate with the Technical Director on strategy and proposals
- Mentor junior and midlevel engineers
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in solid waste and landfill engineering
- Proven experience leading technical teams or complex projects
- Strong environmental legislation and permitting knowledge
- Expertise in geosynthetics landfill design geotechnical analysis and risk review
- Strong client engagement and proposal development skills
- Proficient in Civil 3D RocScience and MS Project
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering
- Registered with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng)
