Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health
Location: New York NY 10016
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3 days per week 11.5-hour shifts (34.5 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $65$70 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health unit. The RN will provide safe therapeutic and patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute mental health conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment effective communication skills and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and stabilization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to adult behavioral health patients in an inpatient setting
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor mental and physical health status
Accurately document clinical findings and interventions
Administer medications and evaluate therapeutic responses
Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts as needed
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
Collaborate with psychiatrists therapists social workers and multidisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
Maintain compliance with safety protocols infection control standards and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited program
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification through NYSED
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
