Science Technician ASAP Start Worcester Worcestershire
Supporting the next generation of scientists in the heart of the Midlands.
We are seeking a methodical and proactive Science Technician to join a high-achieving secondary school in Worcester. You will be the backbone of the Science department ensuring that laboratories are fully equipped and that practical lessons are delivered safely and efficiently across Biology Chemistry and Physics.
The Snapshot
Location: Worcester (Excellent links to M5 and local rail)
Salary:(Pro-rata dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent Term-time only
Start Date: Immediate
Detailed Responsibilities
Practical Preparation: Preparing equipment and chemical solutions for KS3 and KS4 lessons ensuring all materials are ready for the start of the school day.
Safety & Compliance: Maintaining an up-to-date COSHH register and ensuring all chemicals are stored and disposed of according to CLEAPSS guidelines.
Maintenance: Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on laboratory equipment such as microscopes power packs and Bunsen burners.
In-Class Support: Assisting teachers during complex practical demonstrations and providing technical advice to students during their required practicals.
