Role Information
The school is seeking a practical organised and creative Art Technician to support teaching staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing materials and resources for Art lessons (ceramics paint printmaking textiles photography)
Managing stock levels ordering supplies and maintaining equipment
Supporting students during practical work including demonstrations
Maintaining studios ensuring clean and safe working environments
Firing and maintaining kilns where applicable
Assisting with displays exhibitions and portfolio preparation
Setting up and packing down workspaces for lessons
Helping with digital art equipment cameras lighting editing software
Ensuring compliance with health & safety and COSHH requirements
The role is ideal for someone creative hands-on and passionate about supporting young artists.
Requirements
Experience in an art creative or technical environment
Knowledge of a range of artistic techniques and materials
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to support students in practical work
Understanding of health & safety in art environments
Good communication and teamwork skills
