A busy and friendly secondary school in Bournemouth is looking for a dedicated School Caretaker. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors as much as indoors and who takes initiative in spotting and fixing issues before they disrupt the school day.

Contract: Full-time Permanent
Requirement: Previous experience in building maintenance or a trade (e.g. electrical or plumbing) is highly desirable.
Detailed Responsibilities
Grounds Maintenance: Ensuring the external areas are kept tidy and safe including litter picking basic gardening and clearing paths during winter weather.
Contractor Liaison: Supervising external contractors on-site to ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Cleaning Oversight: Working closely with the cleaning team to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained across all classrooms and communal areas.
Reactive Repairs: Responding quickly to site emergencies such as leaks or broken windows to minimize impact on teaching and learning.
