Position Title: Administrative Assistant - Afternoon Shift
Reports to: Transportation Director
Prepared by: Transportation Director and Superintendent of Schools

Position Summary:
Serves as a representative of the Transportation Office and District displaying courtesy tact consideration discretion and confidentiality in all interactions with other members of the school and District community. Provides support as needed for the position.
Daily working hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
The specific work calendar aligned with Transportation Department is 6 hours on the green highlighted days and 3.75 hours on the yellow highlighted days in theAdministrative Assistants. You may reference theAdministrative Assistantshandbook for benefits.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma is a minimum.
- Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check certificate eligibility required
Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities outlined below are representative and do not encompass or define all tasks that may be required by this position.
- Phone coverage for late bus runs
- Support staff during the Afternoon Runs
- Answer phone calls
- Take phone messages give to the appropriate person (staff mailbox email or phone call depending upon the urgency (time sensitivity))
- Assist Transportation Director with Bus Conduct Reports Process
- Look up student information for parents; confirm transportation requests/requested from routing software.
- Radio etiquette - message staff when parent calls about bus arrival etc and be aware of Standard Operating Procedures for accidents detours etc.
