Senior Practitioner / Practice Educator Occupational Therapist

About the job
1.To work closely with Occupational Therapy Advanced Practitioners in supporting Practice Educators the arrangement of student placements and supporting those on the Assessed and Supported Year in Practice (ASYP) programme.
2.To lead and oversee the occupational therapy and vison rehabilitation specialist degree apprentices. This includes communication with senior managers and local partners ensuring practice education support and training are in place for our apprentices.
3.To support the Workforce Development Manager in the delivery of comprehensive learning and workforce development activity across the Adult Social Care workforce costing training programmes placing commitments forecasting and supporting with ensuring value for money and effective budget management.
Work with our education partners to develop a student programme for OT VI and work experience students
Support out OT and VI apprentices
Working in collaboration with Occupational Therapy Advanced Practitioners you will take a lead role in developing and co-ordinating student placements and providing support to Practice Educators.
You will have oversight of our Assessed and Supported Year in Practice Programme for newly qualified Ots and our Enhanced Induction Programme for OTs new to social care and will oversee our occupational therapy and vision rehabilitation apprenticeships.
Additionally the position supports the Workforce Development Manager and Principal Occupational Therapist in planning and delivering comprehensive workforce learning activities to our occupational therapy and wider workforce
About You
You will have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience preferably working in an adult social care setting.
You will have significant and proven post qualifying experience as a Practice Educator supporting OT students and other learners.
You will demonstrate a commitment to developing occupational therapy as a career within adult social care
You will have the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate in multi-disciplinary multi-agency teams contributing to key decision making and problem solving.
