JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to develop and execute the organizations donor acquisition and new business strategy driving sustainable new donor growth across multiple channels.

This role oversees Face-to-Face (F2F) Telemarketing and Multi-Channel Campaign Acquisition ensuring that new supporters are acquired efficiently ethically and in alignment with the organizations mission and values.
Beyond channel operational performance this role also identifies and develops new business opportunities expanding acquisition reach and testing innovative growth models to strengthen long-term value creation.
The ideal candidate is a strategic data-driven leader with strong people management skills and experience in multi-channel fundraising or subscription-based acquisition models.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Acquisition Strategy & Growth

Develop and execute annual and monthly acquisition plans aligned with growth targets across F2F telemarketing and multi-channel campaigns.

Translate strategic objectives into actionable channel plans.

Ensure sustainable growth by balancing volume cost efficiency and donor quality.

Identify and evaluate new acquisition channels partnerships and growth opportunities.

2. Channel Leadership & Performance Oversight

Lead and support the Acquisition Team (4 HC).

Optimize channel mix to maximize ROI and long-term donor value.

Ensure compliance ethical fundraising standards and strong supporter experience across all acquisition activities.

3. New Business Development

Explore innovative acquisition opportunities (e.g. new partnerships channels pilots).

Develop business cases for testing new channels or investment areas.

Evaluate performance of pilot initiatives and scale successful approaches.

4. Financial & Performance Management

Manage acquisition budgets and cost control across all channels.

Monitor CPA (Cost per Acquisition) ROI and channel-level performance.

Forecast acquisition volumes and revenue contribution.

Ensure vendor management and SLA compliance.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing (creative & content) Customer Success and IT/Data teams to ensure seamless donor journeys.

Ensure new donors transition smoothly into onboarding and engagement programs.

Share acquisition insights to support lifecycle optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree in business Marketing or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Additional training in fundraising strategy growth marketing or performance management is a plus.

5 years of experience in fundraising supporter acquisition direct marketing or subscription-based growth models (nonprofit experience is a plus).

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Proven experience managing multi-channel acquisition strategies.

Proven people management experience.

Deep understanding of F2F and/or telemarketing acquisition models (plus).

Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.

Experience managing external agencies/vendors.

Strategic thinking with strong operational execution capability.
