Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technician performs diagnostic medical sonography procedures producing high-quality images to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. The technologist applies sound clinical judgment while ensuring patient safety and adherence to departmental protocols.

Responsibilities
Perform general vascular and obstetric ultrasound examinations.
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
Operate and adjust sonography equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
Document procedures accurately and ensure timely image transfer to PACS.
Maintain compliance with department protocols and regulatory standards.
Participate in on-call coverage as required.
Maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.

Requirements
Minimum one (1) year of radiologic/imaging experience.
Specific training and experience in Medical Sonography.
Vascular and obstetric ultrasound experience required.
Proficiency with major Medical Sonography equipment and software.
Ability to comply with on-call requirements.
Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility.
Strong communication organizational and multitasking skills.

Education: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography.

Certifications
ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or Registry Eligible.
Current BLS certification.

License: Must maintain all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
