Job Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate Early College services for high school students in partnership with HutchCC Outreach Team (Project Manager and/or Outreach Specialist)
  • Manage enrollment and schedule changes of high school students through HutchCC DragonZone
  • Provide and confirm high school schedule/calendar details (start/end dates start/end times days of the week etc.) to HutchCC Outreach Team
  • Serve as liaison between students and HutchCC Outreach Team facilitating the completion of HutchCC enrollment process (application for admission completion of high school permission form assessment scores confirmation of intent withdraws adds/drops etc.)
  • Notify HutchCC Outreach Team immediately if there are any changes with course(s) calendar/schedule HutchCC approved CEP instructor or HS Facilitator
  • Provide the HutchCC Outreach Team with pre-enrollment numbers/rosters in HutchCC college credit class(es).
  • Distribute HutchCC checklist to instructors students parents etc.
  • Provide support to CEP Instructor(s) regarding CEP Agreement roster certification recording of attendance and grade submission as applicable.
  • Administer student evaluations in HutchCC classes at the USD when applicable.

  • Participate in HutchCC provided training regarding college processes/procedures and HutchCC DragonZone
  • Arrive on time for work attend work regularly and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
  • Comply with HutchCC policies procedures and practices.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Outreach Project Manager.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Employed by Unified School District.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students staff and others.
  • Computer literacy including spreadsheets word processing and presentation software is preferred.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time; excellent verbal written and listening skills; exhibit manual dexterity to enter data into a computer and to operate additional office equipment; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; attentive to detail accurately follow written and verbal instructions work independently; sedentary/indoor work environment with a substantial amount of keyboarding required
  • Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.

STATUS:

HutchCC CSA Job Description Addendum:

  • Satisfy the duties of a Campus Security Authority (CSA) relating to Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) by:
  • Promptly reporting Clery Act crimes and/or allegations of Clery Act crimes to the designated HutchCC official(s) in accordance with applicable laws policies and procedures;
  • Completing any HutchCC provided CSA training regarding campus safety and crime reporting issues;
  • Assisting in the issuance of timely warnings and emergency notifications in accordance with applicable laws policies and procedures;
  • Serving as a resource to students employees and others regarding crime prevention reporting and victim assistance; and
  • Collaborating with the Coordinator of Campus Safety the Coordinator of Equity & Compliance and the Director of Human Resources regarding campus safety and compliance issues.
  • A professional counselor as designated by HutchCC and whose official responsibilities include providing mental health counseling to members of the HutchCC community may be exempt from reporting Clery Act crimes and/or allegations of Clery Act crimes when functioning within the scope of the counselors license or certification.
