Your Impact
As a Software Engineer in Forensic Intelligence youll work within a team building capabilities that enable public safety agencies to investigate and analyse the video evidence that officers rely on every day stored in . Youll contribute to a technically diverse and challenging domain - spanning media processing pipelines forensic analysis tools and video format R&D - with mentorship from experienced senior engineers. This is a role where youll grow quickly working across the stack on problems that directly support Axons missions to Protect Life and Preserve Truth.
Work Location:This role is based out of our London office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. What Youll Do
- Develop features across the teams scope - from forensic playback and investigation tooling to media processing pipelines and format analysis capabilities
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand customer needs and ensure clear understanding of requirements
- Contribute to the quality and reliability of the teams systems through code reviews test automation and thoughtful engineering practices
- Work across the stack learning new technologies and building expertise in the teams domain
- Participate in operational ownership of the teams services including on-call support
- Join forces with engineers across London Seattle and Ho Chi Minh City to deliver capabilities used by hundreds of thousands of public safety professionals globally
What You Bring
- Preferably a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
- Experience with at least one of: TypeScript/ (C#) Python or C/C
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership navigate ambiguity and collaborate with your team to solve challenging problems
- Genuine curiosity and a passion for learning - youre excited by unfamiliar domains and new technologies
- Good communicator able to explain your thinking clearly and ask good questions
- Desirable: Interest in or exposure to video media processing or digital forensics
- Desirable: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
