Intermediate to Senior Electrical Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate to Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical & Instrumentation team based in Halifax Nova Scotia. Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Innovate: Manage coordinate and design electrical systems for industrial facilities water & wastewater treatment plants pump stations and other infrastructure;
• Mentor and Inspire: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists fostering an environment that encourages innovation and growth;
• Design with Precision: Prepare detailed designs contract documents and technical specifications for systems such as power distribution (medium and low voltage) lighting telecommunications fire alarm instrumentation control systems;
• Deliver Excellence: Provide electrical engineering advice and support across multidisciplinary teams ensuring smooth project execution and technical excellence;
• Ensure Safety & Quality: Incorporate safety standards and risk analysis into designs while ensuring projects adhere to electrical codes standards and best practices;
• Drive Business Growth: Engage in business development activities including proposal preparation and client interaction; and
• Provide On-Site Expertise: Conduct site surveys assess existing infrastructure and oversee construction activities to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering is required with registration or eligibility for registration with provincial Engineering Associations;
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience;
• Experience in electrical system design including power distribution lighting control systems and instrumentation with in-depth knowledge of electrical codes;
• Proficiency in Revit for electrical design coordination and interdisciplinary project collaboration;
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information draft detailed reports and work collaboratively with clients multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders; and
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver quality work on time and within budget.

Valued Experience

• Experience working in a consulting engineering environment is preferred;
• 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience;
• Electrical design experience in industrial water and/or wastewater; and
• Knowledge of PLC-based control systems and instrumentation.
• The ability to communicate in both English and French would be an asset.
