Job Summary

Job Title: Program Manager (IT governance)

Location: Atlanta GA (Hybrid - Local Candidates only)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Key Responsibilities Governance & Compliance Facilitation
  • Develop review and maintain IT policy and procedure documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enterprise standards.
  • Support IT governance committees by preparing meeting materials documenting minutes and tracking action items.
  • Collect analyze and report IT quality metrics to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare clear concise written communications summaries and governance reports.
  • Facilitate communication and training related to IT policies reporting resources and compliance protocols.
  • Escalate and document suspected policy violations in accordance with established IT procedures.
  • Ensure all project requests comply with IT governance frameworks enterprise architecture standards and technology policies.
  • Prepare projects for formal review by governance boards or steering committees based on project scope and impact.
  • Support funding justifications risk assessments and policy compliance documentation for project intake packages.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems databases and inventory records for new and existing rules and regulations.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of applicable laws regulations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely process flows aligned with audit and compliance standards.
Project Intake & Review
  • Review project submissions for completeness technical feasibility and IT strategy alignment.
  • Analyze customer requirements and determine scope risks and impact.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects engineers cybersecurity teams and operations to validate solution integrity and system compatibility.
  • Assess strategic alignment and clarity of scope for incoming project and technology proposals.
  • Demonstrate leadership through active participation in committees and cross-functional workgroups.
Stakeholder Communication & Facilitation
  • Facilitate meetings to refine project scopes clarify requirements and define IT involvement.
  • Act as liaison between business units and IT to align expectations and communicate timelines and outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary IT contact for reviewing project requests and technology proposals.
  • Foster strong working relationships across departments.
  • Communicate project updates changes and additional requirements to leadership as needed.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement improvements to project intake and evaluation processes.
  • Develop templates guidelines and training materials to improve submission quality.
  • Draft new policies procedures and guidance within established timeframes.
  • Support innovation in IT solution delivery processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Governance Compliance Oversight or a similar IT management capacity.
  • Associates degree in Operations Management Information Technology Business Administration Communications or related field.
  • Experience in Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC).
  • Experience developing reviewing and maintaining IT policy and procedure documentation (minimum 3 years).
  • Experience facilitating IT policy communications and compliance training (minimum 3 years).
  • Experience escalating and documenting suspected policy violations (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong understanding of:
    • IT governance frameworks
    • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Regulatory compliance standards (data privacy cybersecurity)
  • Ability to analyze documentation for statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to determine functional needs and system requirements.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to protect and handle sensitive documentation.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and organizational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience negotiating contracts.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working within regulated industries or public sector environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as:
    • National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)
    • HITRUST
    • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
  • Experience designing and executing compliance activities in a GRC environment.
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly and manage changing demands.
  • Strong multitasking ability with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
