We are seeking a strategic highly skilled and actionoriented leader to take on the role of Vice President Export Control and this role you will ensure that the Group consistently complies with Norwegian international and U.S. export control regulationsincluding ITAR and EARas well as applicable sanctions a key member of the global Compliance function you will hold significant influence maintain close dialogue with authorities and play a vital part in safeguarding the companys licensing foundation market access and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and further develop the Groups global export control and sanctions compliance framework
- Ensure accurate application of Norwegian European and U.S. regulations (including ITAR and EAR)
- Oversee licensing processes product classification and control mechanisms within export control systems
- Advise senior leadership and business areas on regulatory requirements and risk assessments
- Manage dialogue and cooperation with Norwegian international and U.S. authorities
- Drive training competence development and awareness across the organization
- Ensure robust control processes improvement initiatives and governance practices
- Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory engagements
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Norwegian export control regulations
- Solid understanding of international export control regimes and sanctions frameworks
- Documented and extensive experience with U.S. export regulations (ITAR and EAR)
- Experience with export control tools (screening classification license management)
- Proven experience in dialogue with national and international authorities
- Background from large international organizations preferably within technology or securityrelated sectors
- Relevant higher education in law economics or similaror extensive experience in the field
- Leadership or professional responsibility within complex organizations
- Strong understanding of risk management and governance
- Ability to balance handson operational support with strategic development
- Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English
