BTS-US TaxChat-Assistant Manager
The opportunity
An Assistant Manager will lead teams of Analysts and Seniors and be responsible for client service delivery for a particular geography area or specialization. Reporting in to a Manager or Senior Manager they will assist the management team in developing and coaching team members as well as ensuring that resources are deployed effectively
Your key responsibilities
- Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues
- Drive the tax return production process review complex tax returns and other tax deliverables
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues
- Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality work
- Supervise day to day operations and engagement milestones with little or no manager involvement
- Demonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teams
- Help Senior Managers and Managers with advisory and ad-hoc projects
- Develop engagement and financial management skills by managing own and/or others impact on project economics including controlling costs monitoring budget to actual differences
- Contribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client or greater efficiency in the compliance process
- Identify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams

Ideally youll also have

What we look for
- Must be Certified EA CPA or equivalent with active license and US PTIN
- Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues
