Reporting to the General Manager-IT you will be responsible for overseeing developing and optimising key business applications including ERP BI and custom-developed software. The role ensures systems are reliable scalable and aligned with business needs while also contributing to strategic IT planning.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate handson experience in Software Development Business Intelligence or ERP within a medium to large organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end performance reliability and usability of key business applications to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and aligned with current and future business needs.
- Contribute technical oversight and guidance in projects and problem-solving especially where deep understanding of ERP BI or software development is required.
- Manage or oversee delivery of major application changes upgrades and system integrations ensuring value to the business.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimise existing applications and business processes through automation configuration or new technologies.
- Maintain close working relationships with key departments to ensure systems are aligned with operational needs and strategic goals.
- Implement and maintain application governance frameworks including access controls licensing data privacy and audit readiness.
- Provide direction and support to internal staff and third-party vendors involved in application development and support.
- Work closely with the General Manager IT to define and execute the applications strategy in line with the broader IT and business strategy.
- Have a strong commitment to safe work environment and continuous improvement
- Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
About You
Essential Requirements:
- Degree qualifications in Information Technology
- Current drivers license (C class minimum).
Desirable Requirements:
- ITIL Foundation
- Agile or Scrum certification
- BI platform certifications
- Cloud platform certifications
- DevOps or Software Development certifications
