Position: Pool Server Wage Class: Non-exempt
Reports to: Dining and Aquatics Manager Department: Food and Beverage
Essential Functions:
1. Greets members and guests. Gets to know members by name and makes them feel welcome.
2. Follow all RBCC Steps of Service for each member.
3. Suggests and describes available appetizers entrees desserts alcoholic beverages and wine to members and guests.
4. Efficiently serves food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner.
5. Be always readily accessible and attentive to members and communicate any areas of need problems and concerns from members/guests to MOD.
6. Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness and always keep the pool areas in an orderly fashion.
7. Set upside stations and complete all assigned side work during the scheduled shift.
8. Mix and serve beverages to order following standard recipes and proper procedures.
9. Suggests and describes available appetizers entrees desserts alcoholic beverages and wine to members and guests.
10. Efficiently serves food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner.
11. Be always readily accessible and attentive to members and communicate any areas of need problems and concerns from members/guests to MOD.
12. Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness and always keep service areas in an orderly fashion.
13. Consistently follows local and state laws and the clubs policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
Marginal Functions:
1. Provide suggestions and answer questions from the members for menu selections.
2. Assist with inventory and inventory control.
3. Perform all other tasks duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Environmental Demands
1. Work is performed both outdoors and indoors.
2. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures is possible on terraces and facilities surrounding the clubhouse.
Physical Demands
1. Extended periods of standing and walking for anywhere between 5-13 hours daily.
2. Frequent lifting of food trays dishes glassware tables and chairs up to 50 lbs.
3. Constant bending carrying reaching stretching walking up and down stairs.
4. Available nights weekends and holidays
Intellectual demands
1. Prior experience as a Server or Bartender strongly preferred.
2. Ability to work at large or small events with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
3. Basic knowledge of clubs POS system or comparable POS system preferred.
4. Knowledge of the menu and how all items are prepared as well as of standard recipes and proper bar techniques and procedures
5. Ability to follow oral and written directions
6. Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize are essential
7. Service-driven to provide exceptional member service
