Department: Pharmacy Ambulatory Care Clinic

About the Department
The inpatient pharmacy at Trinity Health Ann Arbor is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week servicing inpatients the emergency department operating rooms and multiple procedural areas.
The Pharmacy Managed Anticoagulation Clinics are open Monday through Friday.
Position Purpose
Performs pharmacy supportive functions requiring an advanced level of training and additional levels of responsibility; may focus on team leadership or advanced technical skills. Performs tasks requiring independent judgement advanced technical skills and creative problem solving. Demonstrates performance that consistently meets quality assurance standards.
Status available: Full-time
Education:
Minimum of six months specialized training beyond high school.
Experience:
Minimum one-year experience at the pharmacy technician level.
Licensure / Certification:
Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan is required.
Typical responsibilities:
Functionally supports the activities of the Pharmacy Managed Anticoagulation Service and other clinics including processing referrals scheduling appointments handing patient questions and addressing logistical issues. Maintains patient records and ensures appropriate documentation of clinical activities. Provides excellent customer service. Monitors daily clinic schedule and patient flow. Problem solves with Health System personnel to resolve patient care issues. Utilizes clinical and administrative systemsincluding electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling billing and patient communication platformsto support daily ambulatory clinic operations. Performs job functions of a Pharmacy Technician on an as needed basis. Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Provides assistance to any member of the pharmacy team when needed. Participates in monthly meetings with the ambulatory care clinic team and the manager. Completes additional tasks as assigned by manager. Collects compiles and documents quality assurance data / measures and prepares reports.
