Dermatologist (MD/DO)
Position Summary
The Dermatologist provides comprehensive medical surgical and preventive care for diseases of the skin hair and nails. This role includes the evaluation diagnosis and management of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions as well as the performance of office-based dermatologic procedures with a focus on high-quality patient-centered care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of dermatologic conditions including inflammatory infectious autoimmune and neoplastic skin diseases
- Diagnose and treat skin cancers including melanoma and non-melanoma malignancies
- Perform dermatologic procedures such as biopsies excisions cryotherapy and other office-based interventions consistent with training and privileges
- Provide medical management for chronic skin conditions such as acne psoriasis eczema and rosacea
- Educate patients on skin health disease prevention and treatment plans
- Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement patient safety and outcomes initiatives
- Supervise and educate trainees or advanced practice providers as applicable
- Comply with all regulatory accreditation and professional standards
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited dermatology residency program
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Dermatology
- Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility

- Ability to work efficiently in a clinic-based environment
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care
Work Environment
- Outpatient dermatology clinics and procedural suites
- May include limited inpatient consults depending on practice setting
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for dermatologic procedures
- Visual acuity sufficient for detailed skin examinations
Requirements
Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
