A leading building services consultancy delivering innovative sustainable and high-quality engineering solutions across commercial residential healthcare education and mixed-use developments. Due to continued growth we are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Consulting Engineer to join our dynamic team.

he Role

As an Electrical Consulting Engineer within our Building Services team you will be responsible for the design specification and delivery of electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams clients and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design of LV power distribution lighting emergency lighting and small power systems
Design of fire alarm data security and other ELV systems
Preparation of detailed design calculations specifications and drawings
Use of industry software such as Amtech/Trimble Dialux/Relux and AutoCAD/Revit
Attendance at client meetings and site visits
Coordination with mechanical structural and architectural teams
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g. BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations)
Supporting junior engineers and contributing to technical development

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
3 years experience in a building services consultancy environment
Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and regulations
Proficiency in design software and BIM environments
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
