Job Description
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Traffic Inspector & Diversions Specialist to support traffic management activities across active road construction sites. The role involves inspecting traffic arrangements ensuring proper implementation of diversion plans monitoring traffic flow and coordinating with contractors and authorities to maintain safety and minimize public disruption. The ideal candidate will have solid field experience strong understanding of traffic control measures and the ability to ensure all site traffic operations comply with approved standards and regulations.
Your role
- Inspect traffic diversion setups and ensure compliance with approved traffic management plans (TMPs).
- Monitor on site traffic flow to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper placement and maintenance of traffic control devices signage cones barriers and lighting.
- Conduct site assessments to identify hazards and support safe movement for vehicles and pedestrians.
- Coordinate with contractors project engineers and local authorities during diversion implementation.
- Verify that diversions align with safety regulations and road authority requirements.
- Report non conformities and ensure timely rectification by contractors.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support the execution and modification of diversion strategies during changing site conditions.
About you
- Diploma/Bachelors in Civil Engineering Transportation or related field.
- Minimum 7 years site experiencein traffic inspections traffic diversions or traffic management for road construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of traffic control devices road safety procedures and diversion execution.
- Experience working directly on active construction sites and managing live traffic conditions.
- Ability to interpret traffic management plans and ensure field compliance.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for working with contractors and authorities.
- Problemsolving mindset with ability to respond quickly to onsite traffic issues.
- Understanding of local regulations and road authority standards.
