Role Description
The Technical Operations Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across IT infrastructure and service operations. The role involves managing cross-functional technical teams ensuring project delivery excellence maintaining operational stability in a 24x7 environment and driving continuous improvement in infrastructure and service management practices.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Technical Leadership
- Provide end-to-end technical leadership for infrastructure projects ensuring timely delivery aligned with scope budget and quality standards.
- Develop project charters execution plans schedules and resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee project lifecycle management ensuring compliance with IT methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Review and approve IT infrastructure deliverables and artifacts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and manage change requests in alignment with client and organizational processes.
Infrastructure & Operations Management
- Manage infrastructure domains including:
- Server & Virtualization (VMware)
- Windows & Microsoft Exchange
- Storage & Backup solutions
- Database services
- Cloud platforms (Azure AWS)
- Ensure high availability and operational excellence in a 24x7 support environment.
- Drive adherence to ITIL processes including Incident Problem Change and SLA Management.
- Monitor service performance metrics and implement corrective/preventive measures.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary technical interface for clients and senior leadership.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide structured reporting.
- Present dashboards performance insights and risk assessments to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Provide proactive recommendations on infrastructure engineering methodologies and best practices.
- Identify improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiency initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in infrastructure architecture and cloud technologies.
Technical Skills
- 3 years of project management experience within large IT infrastructure or managed services environments.
- Strong hands-on exposure to VMware Windows Server Storage Backup Microsoft Exchange.
- Working knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and service management processes.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams.
- Proven ability to manage projects in high-pressure environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience in large outsourced IT service delivery environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise organizational structures and cross-functional coordination.
- Experience in SLA-driven environments.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
