6-month initial contract

Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking a Analyst Programmer to join their team.

The Analyst Programmer is responsible for analysing designing and developing data analytics and reporting to support evidence-based policy development and providing quality information services related to energy programs and associated policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Data analysis Conduct applied and statistical analyses interpret and analyse program data provide advice and contribute to program evaluation resulting in improved system performance.
Quality assurance Extract and manipulate data from multiple sources and undertake data validation to ensure data integrity and create accurate and meaningful reports to inform policy development.
Provide recommendations to improve the availability quality reliability and security of program data.
Data management - Manage program data and the operational systems for collecting program data with operational staff

Selection Criteria:

Understanding of local or international energy markets.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new analysis and modelling techniques as required.
Experience with the following data analytics tools will be highly regarded: Python R SQL.
Experience with data analysis techniques including statistical analysis and use of programming languages (e.g. DAX R Python)
Experience with data management and visualisation software (e.g. MS Excel PowerPivot PowerBIArcGIS)
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new analysis and modelling techniques as required.

On offer is a 6-month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation with a highly competitive daily rate.
