Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking a Analyst Programmer to join their team.
The Analyst Programmer is responsible for analysing designing and developing data analytics and reporting to support evidence-based policy development and providing quality information services related to energy programs and associated policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data analysis Conduct applied and statistical analyses interpret and analyse program data provide advice and contribute to program evaluation resulting in improved system performance.
- Quality assurance Extract and manipulate data from multiple sources and undertake data validation to ensure data integrity and create accurate and meaningful reports to inform policy development.
- Provide recommendations to improve the availability quality reliability and security of program data.
- Data management - Manage program data and the operational systems for collecting program data with operational staff
Selection Criteria:
- Understanding of local or international energy markets.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new analysis and modelling techniques as required.
- Experience with the following data analytics tools will be highly regarded: Python R SQL.
- Experience with data analysis techniques including statistical analysis and use of programming languages (e.g. DAX R Python)
- Experience with data management and visualisation software (e.g. MS Excel PowerPivot PowerBIArcGIS)
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new analysis and modelling techniques as required.
