The Hilton Atlanta and Towers is looking for their next Senior Event Manager
This hotel offers 1249 guestrooms and an impressive 131730 square feet of versatile event space. With 51 meeting rooms including the largest ballroom spanning 38976 square feet its an ideal destination for conferences conventions and upscale gatherings in Atlanta.
Our ideal candidate is a seasoned Senior Event Manager with 34 years of experience in high-volume complex event operations. They excel in multitasking and demonstrate strong communication skills when engaging with customers in both positive and challenging situations. They bring proven experience managing fullhouse or fullhouse group programs ranging from 1500 to 3000 attendees utilizing 50000 square feet or more of meeting and event space.
They are confident in selling higherticket items clearly articulating value and cost to clients. This individual is polished professional and adept at delivering exceptional event experiences from start to finish.
Shift Pattern:While can be primarily MondayFriday office hours the candidate must demonstrate flexibility to adjust their schedule as needed to support schedules for convention clients and conference planning appointments.
Pay Range: This is salaried role that qualifies to be part of the Hilton Sales Incentive plan that is paid quarterly based on performance.

What will I be doing
As Senior Event Manager you are responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent high-level service throughout the pre-event event and post-event phases of all hotel events. This position primarily handles complex events. You will be required to ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Serve as the event planners primary contact following turnover on property and is responsible for his/her experience. May support and act on the behalf of the Director of Catering and Events.
Specifically your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Organize plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone email written documents or in person.
Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of job systems products systems and processes.
Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints settling disputes and resolving grievances and conflicts.
Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs providing direction and guidance feedback and individual coaching when needed.
Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
Other duties as necessary based on business needs.
