Description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Laborer to support our precision metal fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of tasks including material handling machine operation support part preparation cleaning and assembly. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Load and unload materials and parts onto machines such as lasers press brakes or weld tables.
Perform deburring grinding sanding and cleaning of metal components.
Inspect parts for defects or inconsistencies and notify appropriate personnel.
Operate basic hand and power tools (e.g. grinders drills tape measures).
Safely operate forklift to load/unload raw materials and component parts.
On occasion cross-train and operate some or all the following production equipment: Press brake turret stud gun and wide belt sander.
Participate in and support continuous process improvements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is a plus.
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of shop tools.
Ability to read a tape measure and follow written/verbal instructions.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced team environment.

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers handle or feel objects tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and lift.
