Job Summary

Job Summary:
Bay-CSS is looking for a compassionate Meaningful Day/CDS DSP (Direct Support Professional) to join our team in Lexington Park MD. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8am to 4pm. The role involves providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities to help them achieve personal goals engage in community activities and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certification or degree in a related field is a plus
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Must possess a valid drivers license reliable transportation and car insurance
- Willingness to undergo background checks

Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including meal preparation personal hygiene and medication administration
- Implement individualized support plans and behavior intervention strategies
- Organize and accompany individuals on community outings and social activities to foster independence and community integration
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and document daily progress notes
- Collaborate with a team to ensure exceptional care and support for each individual
