Job Summary

Overview

The Department of Disabilities Aging and Independent Living (DAIL)is seeking a skilled Data and Program Policy Manager to oversee data and program policy activities at a professional level. This role involves managing projects to ensure timely completion within budget coordinating meetings resources and information and maintaining smooth project workflows. The Data and Program Policy Managers responsibilities including data analysis reporting and logistics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Control workflow and evaluate project progress.
  • Report project status to Leadership and partners.
  • Conduct data analysis and manage logistics.
  • Collaborate with DAIL leadership team other state agencies and community partners.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Proven experience in project management preferably within a similar field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in data analysis and financial operations.
  • Familiarity with grant management and writing.
  • Ability to work under general direction and collaborate with various stakeholders.


Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Commissioner or designee with significant interaction with the DAIL leadership team and similar level staff of other state agencies and community partners.

Environmental Factors

Duties are typically performed in a standard office setting. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available.

Minimum Qualifications

A degree or certification in project management data analysis healthcare or business administration or a related field and three (3) or more years of experience in a health mental health welfare or social services related field AND one (1) or more years of supervisory experience in any field.

OR

Five (5) or more years of experience in a health mental health welfare or social services related field AND one (1) or more years of supervisory experience in any field.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher in a related field

Special Requirements

Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the accordance with AHS Policy 4.02 Hiring Standards Vermont and/or national criminal record checks as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks as appropriate to the position under recruitment will be conducted on candidates with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
