Position:Batting Cage Attendant
Employment Type:Part-time Seasonal with performance-based opportunities for year-round employment.This role wouldlikely startsometime in March and end in September depending on operating conditions.
Schedule:On-site flexible schedule that may include days evenings weekends and holidays based on availability and business needs. Preference given to candidates who can consistently work at least 2 shifts per week.This role is weather-dependent.
Compensation:Starting at $12/hr

While our facility offers an array of activitiesthe Batting Cage Attendant works primarily in our8-cage batting complexwhichfeaturesreal-arm throwing systemswith slow medium and fast-pitch baseball and softball machines.
About the Role:
The Batting Cage Attendant worksoutdoorsin our batting cage complex andis responsible formonitoring pitching machines performing minor mechanical adjustments ensuring guest safety and communicating issuesto the front counter and management. This position involves extended periods ofindependent workwhile staying attentive to guest activity and machine function.
This is a seasonal weather-dependent role. Seasonal team members who excel may be invited to cross-train in other areas and may have opportunities to join our year-round team.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Monitoring & Maintenance
- Oversee the operation of all 8 batting cages to ensure machines run properly
- Performsimple minor mechanical adjustmentsas needed
- Identifyand report larger mechanical issues to management
- Keep machines stocked with baseballs and softballs; clear stray balls and debris to prevent jams
Guest Safety &Assistance
- Ensure guests follow all batting cage safety rules including wearing helmetsprovided on-site
- Check bats and helmets for cleanliness and safety
- Provide basic instructions to guests unfamiliar with the machines
- Respond to guest questions or concerns about machine operation or safety rules
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain communication with the front counter and manager via radio
- Alert the manager to any non-functioning machines requiring repairs beyond minor adjustments
- Keep the batting cage area clean organized and free of hazards
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability towork independentlyforlong periods(58 hourshifts)
- Willingness tolearn simple mechanical adjustmentsand basic batting cage terminology
- Strongattention to detailfor monitoring safety and equipment functionality
- Comfortableinteracting with guestsand enforcing safety policies politely and confidently
- Ability tocommunicate effectivelywith counter staff and management
Physical Requirements
- Ability tostand for extended periods
- Ability to occasionallylift upto 25lbs(e.g. buckets of balls)
- Comfortable moving throughout the cage area to address jams orassistguests
- Comfortable workingoutdoors in various weather conditions
