Role Summary:
The Manager Programming will be responsible for planning scheduling and managing programming strategies for international TV feeds across multiple regions. This role requires strong expertise in content planning rights management and coordination with global partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and deliver on audience viewership & engagement.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Programming & FPC Planning:
Create and manage programming schedules for multiple international feeds.
Maintain weekly original programming hours (fiction non-fiction and movies) as per agreements.
Plan and coordinate special episodes and tentpole properties across regions.
Ensure timely updates and accuracy in RMS (Rights Management System) for monthly FPC releases.
Movies Planning:
Verify telecast and subtitling rights for movies and maintain updated movie master for relevant territory.
Plan monthly movie line-ups considering regional holidays and audience preferences.
Coordinate movie festivals and VOD rights for partner platforms.
Promos & Marketing Support:
Drive viewership by effective promo planning and create new promos for shows and movie festivals.
Supporting partner platforms sales and marketing teams with promotional creatives.
Deliver artist bytes and festival greetings for key occasions as required for boosting viewership.
Ratings & Analysis:
Maintain ratings database for international feeds.
Analyze performance data on regular basis to optimize programming strategies.
Develop and implement programming strategies for international TV channels to maximize audience engagement.
Sales & Platform Support:
Assist sales teams with deliveries of sponsor-related creative.
Share monthly highlights and promotional assets with partners.
Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and timely delivery of all assets.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with Operations On-Air Traffic & Presentation Graphics and OAP teams for smooth day-to-day functioning.
Electronic Program Guides (EPG) -coordinate with metadata vendors and stakeholders to ensure guide accuracy for all feeds.
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of Indian TV programming and international content markets.
Expertise in FPC planning scheduling and rights management.
Analytical ability to interpret ratings and audience insights.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in international or domestic TV programming.
