Are you experienced in WGS data quality control and analysis from bacterial isolates Do you have a strong interest in genomics and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) The Research Group for Global Capacity Building (GloCaB) is looking for a dedicated bioinformatician to join our team.
Antimicrobial resistance is one of the most pressing global health challenges driving a silent pandemic that affects both human and animal health. Our group plays a key role as an EU WHO and FAO reference laboratory for antimicrobial resistance. We provide scientific advisory services as well as applied and implementation research to National Reference Laboratories international organizations and supranational institutions such as the European Commission and the European Food Safety Authority. Our work focuses on strengthening global capacity for phenotypic and genomic surveillance of antimicrobial resistance including the development of proficiency tests external quality assurance and laboratory training programs.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
Based on your qualifications you will either be employed as Research Assistant or Postdoc. Your tasks will be adjusted accordingly.
The period of employment is 1 year.
Starting date is 1 April 2026 (or according to mutual agreement). The position is a full-time position.
