Job Summary
Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Elmhurst NY 11373
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Evening/Night Shift 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
Schedule: 5 Days/Week (Every Weekend Required; 2 Days Off Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs)
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Training: 2 Weeks (9:00 AM 5:00 PM) includes EPIC training
Pay Rate: $80 $90 per Hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $3200 $3600
Job Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Pharmacistfor an exciting job in Elmhurst NY.
Key Responsibilities
Review verify and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies
Provide clinical pharmacy services in acute inpatient ED and psychiatric settings
Monitor patient medication therapy for safety effectiveness and appropriateness
Prepare and verify sterile compounded products including IV admixtures
Ensure compliance with New York State and federal pharmacy regulations
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Utilize EMR systems (EPIC) for order verification and documentation
Provide drug information and consultation to medical staff
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians as needed
Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (or higher)
Active and valid Pharmacist license issued by the New York State Education Department (Primary Source Verification required)
Minimum of one (1) year of Pharmacist experience
Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations
Ability to work every weekend schedule
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems
Sterile compounding and IV room experience
Experience in acute inpatient hospital settings
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferably EPIC
