Job Description Summary
The Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) will be assigned to the Charleston Battery professional mens soccer team part of the USL Championship League and will report to the assigned MUSC Health Sports Medicine leader. The AT will provide point of service for sports related prevention care coverage and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries and sports related ailments under the general supervision of the physician physical therapist physician assistant and or nurse practitioner. Previous experience with collegiate and/or professional sport teams as well as cross coverage experience including mens soccer preferred. Job includes local and out of area travel responsibilities including coverage of all home and away games practices and pre- and post- event treatments.Entity

Additional Job Description
Graduate of an accredited college with a BS/BA. (Masters degree in Athletic Training preferred). Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) and Licensure as an Athletic Trainer by the SCLLR Board of Medical Examiners. Must be able to adjust communication both verbal and non-verbal to interact appropriately and effectively with a wide variety of age groups including school age adolescents adults and geriatrics. Weekend and evening hours to cover practices games tournaments and special events.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
