We have an exciting opportunity available for a part-time Supply Chain Assistant working 20 hours per week to join NHS South of England Procurement Services Theatres at the Queen Alexandra Hospital and its forward thinking Supply Chain Team.
The Supply Chain Assistant is a key role and requires a professional hard-working and motivated individual who is expected to have an understanding of end to end supply chain operations and the use of hand held bar code readers would be useful however not essential. Full training will be provided and you should have experience of working in a customer services environment.
To succeed in this post you must have excellent communication interpersonal skills and time management skills attention to detail and a working knowledge of computers for emails stock maintenance systems and other requirements.
Applicants must be able to lift carry handle and transport goods across sites be trustworthy and reliable and able to handle confidential items. Applicants will be required to undertake any further training required for the role.
This is an extremely busy and interesting department to work in and we are one of the most advanced supply chain departments within the NHS. You will meet a different challenge every day and the successful candidates will be an integral part of the team providing our customers a first class service for the administration of their assets and overall application of its lifecycle. a track record of coordinating and organising stock.

- Working towards an NVQ qualification

- Warehouse or general retail experience
- Training in moving and handling goods.

- Ability to use a personal computer with knowledge of word processing and Windows applications.
- Working knowledge of clerical and financial procedures.
- Ability to communicate in written and oral English.
- Ability to understand and work with financial administrative and personnel processes and practices.
- Well developed influencing skills across hierarchies and disciplines
