We are seeking a Manager of Sales Engineering with comprehensive and demonstrated technical expertise in a digital financial services setting. This role focuses on our Visa Digital Enablement Solutions and involves a wide range of responsibilities including client-specific solutioning and open-box discussions lead technical discussions and demonstrations. This role will provide detailed technical integration options to prospective and existing clients. The ideal candidate will be a proven strategic thinker with a solid technical understanding of digital banking API/SDK based products emerging market trends and payment/issuer processing. The Manager of Sales Engineering will be instrumental in achieving client and revenue targets for Visa DES solutions and must be capable of explaining technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
The successful candidate is expected to have a deep understanding of the Issuing payments ecosystem capable of collaborating and influencing across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and work alongside sales specialist /generalist to accelerate sales in Brazil.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert technical guidance to prospects to help them understand how to create compelling digital experiences using Visa Digital Enablement products and services.
- Explain technical solutions and consult with prospects to present white label API and SDK digital banking integration options across multiple digital channels.
- Support on-site and virtual sales pitches and client renewals through presentations and demonstrations.
- Communicate technical requirements and dependencies pre-requisites configuration options implementation considerations and develop end to end technical flows in partnership with clients.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of all DES Visa and processor related products and services.
- Maintain deep understanding of DES development roadmap and influence roadmap priorities by communicating client needs to product teams.
- Deliver product and competitor information to drive and support product development and innovation strategies.
- Identify and highlight key partnership opportunities across the digital banking industry e.g. (Mobile/online banking providers processors etc.)
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure generalist/specialized sales teams are well educated and up to date on DES products and services.
- Craft persuasive technically accurate RFP responses and solution proposals for banks and fintechs.
- Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with the client and the Visa organization.
- Actively lead various ad-hoc internal projects as assigned.
- Translate client requirements into clear implementation deliverables (Solution Designs) ensuring readiness before project kickoff
- Engage with internal cross functional teams including Product Management Product Development Client Support and Product Marketing to relay market feedback and provide input into the design of innovative solutions.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of work experience with a bachelors degree or at least 3 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-8 years or more of work experience with a bachelors degree
- Experience with technical sales product and management experience in the mobile/online banking and payments industry.
- Proven history of successful sales and/or relationship management.
- Ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement.
- Ability to travel as needed to ensure adequate on-site interaction with the client.
- Exceptional customer service and advocacy experience and mindset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work across multiple time zones.
- Spanish is desirable.
- Unique Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mobile/online banking and issuer processing environments including digital issuance and tokenization.
- Strong knowledge of API/SDK and mobile/online technologies (iOS Android Web etc.) and non-native mobile app development technologies (React Native Cordova etc.).
- Strong knowledge of modern banking platforms (core systems issuer processors networks) and functionality.
- Superior presentation skills with technical sales acumen.
- Excellent client engagement and relationship building skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships across all levels of management.
- Keen interest in in innovation and technology.
- Exceptional ability to manage & foster internal and external resources and cross-functional relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
