The Project Manager - Store Planning is responsible for managing all construction phases deficiencies and handovers for major capital projects. This role ensures that project outcomes comply with the initial scope of work budget schedule and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized proactive and able to navigate the complexities of different markets and site conditions.
Job Description:
- Review construction documents and provide feedback to the technical team.
- Conduct site visits at various stages (survey midconstruction handover etc.).
- Manage the construction schedule and oversee the critical path.
- Ensure that the General Contractor suppliers landlord and key stakeholders adhere to the schedule (multiple projects simultaneously).
- Review and approve General Contractor extras and change orders.
- Manage construction budgets and identify costeffective solutions when addressing unforeseen construction issues.
- Communicate with all parties involved in the construction process: General Contractors suppliers tenant coordinators mall managers superintendents and internal divisions.
- Analyze tenders and make recommendations.
- Evaluate workload service quality and construction quality throughout the project.
- Ensure complete resolution of deficiencies.
- Coordinate M&E activities inspections and related requirements.
Qualifications :
- 5 to 7 years of experience in retail design project coordination and/or construction.
- Strong experience in construction site management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
- AutoCAD knowledge (preferred).
- Excellent multitasking and problemsolving abilities.
- High emotional intelligence and proven ability to navigate complex interpersonal situations with professionalism and composure.
- Strong sense of urgency and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to travel intensively when required.
- Bilingual: English & French (written and spoken) essential for collaborating with partners across Canada.
