This position is for a critical member of our Advanced Surgical divisions R&D team based in Denver CO. The engineer will have immediate opportunities to contribute to CONMEDs active product portfolio with a focus on minimally invasive surgical technologies designed to deliver real benefits to surgeons hospitals and their patients.

Advanced Surgical products include:

  • Advanced insufflation systems
  • Advanced energy systems
  • Advanced smoke management systems
  • Laparoscopic surgical instruments

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sustaining high-quality reliable disposable and/or capital medical products for surgical procedures ensuring we maintain consistent product continuity for our customers.
  • Engage in all phases of design development component procurement assembly verification validation and manufacturing ensuring compliance with medical device standards and regulations.
  • Conduct investigations to identify root causes of product issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Create basic conceptual designs and detailed designs CAD modeling prototyping and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to deliver updated products ensuring seamless integration and successful outcomes.
  • Utilize feedback from marketing to contribute to the development and delivery of updated products ensuring they meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Exhibit understanding of relevant industry standards safety regulations and quality control procedures to ensure compliance and uphold product excellence.
  • Create test protocols reports and presentations.
  • Conduct verification and validation testing.
  • Build strong cross functional working relationships internally.

Required Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years engineering work experience
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or highly related field)

Other Attributes:

  • Basic skills in 3-D CAD software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to SolidWorks and statistical software such as Minitab
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of statistics
  • Basic understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings

0-20% Travel

Disclosure as required by applicable law the annual salary range for this position is $67496 - $97240. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location work experience education and skill level. The salary range is CONMEDs good faith belief at the time of this posting.
