Our Strategic Policy Science & Engagement team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Scientist Contaminants & Risk to provide advanced scientific advice and deliver science projects that support the Departments environmental protection priorities.
In this role you will lead and contribute to scientific projects focused on environmental contamination and risk providing highquality analysis advice and technical support. You will prepare scientific reports briefing materials and presentations; coordinate project resources; manage timelines and budgets; and ensure scientific outputs meet departmental standards. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Department and maintain networks with research partners and external stakeholders to support evidencebased decisionmaking and continuous improvement in science delivery.
About You
You are a proactive science professional with strong analytical judgement and the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts. You work collaboratively across teams and research partners maintain effective networks and contribute to open communication and knowledgesharing to support highquality science delivery.
You manage competing priorities well stay adaptable in a dynamic scientific and regulatory environment and maintain high standards of accuracy organisation and professionalism. You build constructive relationships with stakeholders contribute to continuous improvement and help ensure science projects are delivered efficiently safely and to departmental expectations.
