Whats the role
The Business Manager operates as a trusted adviser to the General Manager Data Digital & AI Enterprise Functions applying strong commercial judgement advanced problemsolving capability and a continuous improvement mindset to simplify processes remove friction and enable the efficient and effective running of the business. The role provides endtoend financial management planning and forecasting for the DDAI Enterprise Functions portfolio and ensures the disciplined operation of the DDAI Enterprise Functions leadership office.
Working across the enterprise and building strong senior stakeholder relationships the Business Manager leads core management rhythms governance forums and decisionmaking processes driving clarity of outcomes accountability and followthrough. The role is also accountable for overseeing delivery of employee engagement initiatives and highimpact communications that support a highperforming wellaligned leadership team.
You will be responsible for:
- Strategic Business Enablement
Acting as a trusted adviser to the General Manager Data Digital & AI Enterprise Functions providing strategic insight structured problem solving and decision support to enable effective prioritisation execution and performance across the DDAI Enterprise Services portfolio. - Enterprise Operating Rhythm and Execution
Leading the core management cadence for the business including leadership forums governance and decision-making processes ensuring clarity of outcomes disciplined follow through and efficient running of the leadership office. - Financial Management and Performance Oversight
Partnering with Finance to govern end to end financial management planning forecasting and performance reporting for the portfolio translating financial insights into clear implications for business decisions and trade-offs. - Risk Governance and Control
Ensuring appropriate governance risk and compliance frameworks are embedded and operating effectively with issues proactively identified escalated and resolved in line with enterprise expectations. - Senior Stakeholder Leadership and Engagement
Building strong trusted relationships across DDAI and the broader enterprise influencing at GM and executive level to drive alignment resolve complexity and deliver shared outcomes. - People Engagement and Communications
Overseeing delivery of employee engagement initiatives and high impact communications that support a high performing well aligned leadership team.
What do I need
To be successful in this role you will have experience operating in a Business Manager Chief of Staff or equivalent role partnering closely with General Managers or Executives in a complex regulated environment. Experience in Data Digital or Artificial Intelligence related businesses is preferred for this role.
Key skills and experience required:
- Proven experience supporting GM or Executive level leaders in complex matrixed organisations.
- Strong commercial judgement and structured problem-solving capability with the ability to simplify complexity and improve business efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders with credibility and confidence.
- Financial management forecasting and performance reporting experience
- Strong governance capability including leading executive forums decision papers and outcomes tracking.
- Ability to delegate effectively and leverage teams to drive outcomes at scale.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distil complex issues into clear executive ready insights.
