Job Summary
Job Title: RN Behavioral Health (Adult Inpatient)
Location: Manhattan NY 10016
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Pay Rate: $2300 $2850 Weekly Gross
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week Behavioral Health Adult Inpatient assignment in Manhattan NY. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency psychiatric experience and the ability to provide compassionate evidence-based care in a fast-paced behavioral health emergency setting.
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate evidence-based nursing care to adults experiencing behavioral health crises
Perform triage clinical assessments and emergency interventions
Collaborate with physicians behavioral health providers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care
Administer medications and monitor patient responses per clinical protocols
Implement and maintain patient safety and de-escalation strategies
Accurately document assessments interventions and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Support patients and families through education communication and crisis management
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations including HIPAA
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience (required)
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (required)
Prior experience in a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) setting (required)
Education & Licensure
Active New York State RN License (required)
Primary Source Verification (required)
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
