Job Summary
The Supervisor of Building & Station Maintenance plans directs and supervises personnel and resources involved in performing the repair maintenance alteration and refurbishing of the Authoritys buildings stations facilities and structures. This position also ensures the safety of passengers and employees through the enforcement of Authority standards and policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide professional and courteous customer service through face-to-face interaction with customers or via telephone or written correspondence
- Assume the duties of Superintendent as needed
- Schedule and prioritize the Divisions work ensuring safe and efficient productivity
- Perform frequent inspections of the Authoritys properties and work sites recommending necessary maintenance repairs or improvements
- Arrange for the requisition delivery and proper maintenance of all materials equipment and support services from other areas as necessary
- Ensure budgetary goals are met and all work is performed in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Participate in the recruitment training discipline and promotion of personnel
- Supervise monitor and document the performance of various contractors vendors outside agencies and municipalities
- Manage within approved operating and capital budgets
- Participate in a rotating weekend duty coverage schedule and an as-required weather-related duty coverage schedule
- Maintain manual and computerized records of all department maintenance and personnel activities
- Drive company or personal vehicles to visit work sites assist at events and emergencies and / or transport crews or equipment as needed
- Respond either directly or through others to emergencies twenty-four (24) hours per day seven (7) days per week
- Respond to each inquiry in a courteous and professional manner consistent with the Authoritys customer service quality standards
- Uphold rights and interests of the Authority while building and maintaining effective relationships with employees
- Assist in workforce management by ensuring fair and consistent application and strict adherence to rules regulations collective bargaining agreements (if applicable) and policies of the Authority including EEO Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment and Anti-Retaliation policies
- Perform all other duties and projects that may be assigned

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution.
Five (5) years of experience in building and equipment maintenance including repair techniques in building maintenance construction or related field.
One (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Valid U.S. drivers license.
Effective organizational and analytical skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel (Office) database PeopleSoft and mainframe applications.
Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to supervise and work effectively with a diverse workforce.
Successful applicants must have English language skills required for the effective performance of the position.
