Summary:The Farm Manager is the strategic leader and subject matter expert responsible for the agricultural integrity and long-term curation of the Farmers Club site. This role serves as the Director of the land managing the budget site expansion (orchards habitats irrigation) and regenerative production. The Manager ensures the flora fauna and soil are maintained to expert standards so the site remains a functional productive living laboratory for the district.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Site Growth & Curation: Design and oversee the expansion of farm features; source Missouri-native seeds and saplings; ensure the site evolves as a high-value educational resource.
  • Expert Management: Serve as the authority on regenerative agriculture soil health and integrated pest management; oversee the health of all flora and fauna (including livestock).
  • Administrative Leadership: Manage the operational budget secure grants for site expansion and maintain compliance with agencies like the NRCS and MDC for cost-share programs.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Onsite Educator to align farm cycles with curriculum and coordinate with CTE instructors to support their specific project needs on-site.
  • Personnel Supervision: Directly supervise the Farmers Club Assistant and coordinate the efforts of site maintenance volunteers.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Required: Expert-level knowledge in farm management or sustainable agriculture; proficiency in operating heavy machinery (tractors mowers).
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree in Agriculture or Plant Science; experience in project management and strategic planning.
