In Kansas City Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) Kansas City National Security state-of-the-art engineering manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the FM&Ts culture of integrity commitment and continuous improvement enables them to deliver responsive collaborative and innovative management and technology services and products that translate into cutting edge solutions to complex national security issues.

Remote roles can be located only in states where Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies LLC is authorized to do business.** Some roles however are limited to a subset of authorized states and/or may have to be co-located with their teams in certain locations. Summary

In this position the successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment complete assigned tasks on time execute contracts that meet compliance requirements and adhere to internal policies clearly articulate contractual risks to management counsel and the business and ensure obligations outlined in the Prime Contract are met. The ability to quickly change course and adapt to meet the needs of the business is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews redlines and negotiates contracts.
  • Works with Legal Counsel Contracts Analysts management suppliers and internal customers.
  • Interfaces with multiple business units to formulate and implement procurement system processes.
  • Analyzes Department of Energy (DOE) and government procurement requirements and develops refines and administers KCNSC contractor procurement policies and processes to ensure compliance with DOE requirements.
  • Functions in a lead advisory role providing guidance to the business regarding contracting activities.
  • Reviews and updates templates utilized across the business.
  • Makes risk-based decisions derived from contractual requirements dollar value risk/reward and other variable factors based on each unique situation.
  • Focuses on the continual improvement especially regarding speed quality and simplicity of contract formation and management processes without compromising compliance.

You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in business or technical discipline.
  • At least seven years relevant contract administration or contract management experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and provide sound business judgment.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business.
  • Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business. Must be on-site no less than one day per week.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

We Value

  • Prefer 2 years experience in government contract administration/management.
  • JD MBA or Certified Federal Contract Manager certificate preferred.
  • Six Sigma Certification preferred.
