A vacancy has arisen within our Earth Moving After Sales department based in Biggleswade for an After Sales Supervisor.
The role contributes to the success of Liebherr-Great Britain through the effective supervision of Field Service Engineers time and workloads. The role will strive to ensure administrative procedures are adhered to and developed whilst working within the Companys key result areas: Business Performance Customer Focus People and Teamwork Leadership.
Your Responsibilities as an After Sales Supervisor:
Actively ensuring all customer requests and requirements are received and dealt with in a timely manner while keeping the customer informed at all stages of the process.
Actively participating in the opening/closing of jobs checking and processing of time sheets and inspection reports and ensuring identified work outstanding is recorded for future resolution.
Supporting the After Sales Manager in carrying out regular toolbox talks with Engineers.
Liaising with technical department to seek resolution for technical issues in the field.
Ensuring regular site-specific safety visits are undertaken.
Visiting engineers in the field where contentious issues have arisen (such as safety issues method statements and technical problems where the engineer requires support).
Regularly attending Liebherr technical courses to ensure current machine and product knowledge is maintained.
Monitoring Engineers time ensuring efficient utilisation and allocation.
Ensuring that unused new parts warranty parts or service exchange parts are returned cleaned and labelled to the relevant department from related jobs and are accompanied by accurate and complete documentation.
Ensuring the quality system requirements are maintained with tool and equipment issue and updates calibration records to adhere to the policy statement.
Maintaining communication with Field Service Engineers internal departments suppliers and customers to keep them fully informed and advised regarding the progress of jobs.
Organising sub-contractors when supporting customers or engineers.
Planning the logistics for all spare parts tools transport and manpower to arrive in a timely manner.
Liaising with the After Sales Parts team to co-ordinate the delivery of spare part.
Collating sufficient information to support the accurate processing of internal or external invoices or warranty claims.
Liaising with the Sales Department and customers regarding new machine deliveries and requirements.
Liaising. with Service Controller Product Support Managers and Aftersales Manager to ensure all engineers are fully utilised toward company target.
Co-ordinating product modification programmes to ensure timely delivery to the customer.
Maintaining discipline and process control with the Service desk and Engineers.
Communicating with the team where holiday and training is concerned to manage and ensure adequate coverage.
Managing direct reports using tools such as appraisals return to work interviews performance reviews.
You will be responsible for all day to day running of the after-sales department and the support team within it.
Taking responsibility for continuous self-development and looks at opportunities to use newly acquired skills within the role.
Your Profile:
The successful candidate will require the following:
Able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and/ or industry.
Previous technical and engineering experience.
Team player with a flexible approach to work.
Good communicator at all levels.
